Pat O'Neill

Pat O’Neill is the English Language Coordinator for the Moraga school District. Her responsibilities include coordinating and teaching the English Language Development Program for the district elementary and middle schools. She is beginning her seventh year in this position.

As English Language Development (ELD) teacher she teaches students with a home language other than English. Students work to improve their English abilities in the areas of reading, writing, listening, and speaking ultimately leading to full proficiency in English. Her classroom addresses student’s needs through different modalities. Pat’s ultimate teaching experience has seen her students develop from non-speakers of English to students taking advanced placement courses in high school.

She considers the ability to work with students a privilege, and feels fortunate to have helped form the future of so many young people.
