Joaquin Moraga 2017 SBAC Schedule

Pre-enrollment for the school year 2017-18

Joaquin Moraga Intermediate School is now accepting pre-enrollment for incoming 6th to 8th graders.  Please  visit our Moraga School District website for details for registration.  When a completed on-line registration is received, we will contact the parents accordingly and set up an appointment to complete the registration process.

Geo Bee Contest

Congratulations to the 2017 Joaquin Moraga Geography Bee Champion, Amrita M.!  Amrita completed the National Geo Bee online qualifying test.  We’ll know by March 1st if she qualifies for the State Bee to be held on March 31, 2017.  Congratulations Amrita!



S.T.E.M. Conference & Workshop for Middle School Girls

The second STEM Conference for middle school girls will be held at Saint Mary's College, March 18, 2017.  Online registration opens January 27, 2017.

Nightmare on Puberty Street

On Thursday, April 13, 2017 we will offer to all 7th and 8th grade students an award-winning health education program provided to our school free of charge by Kaiser Permanente called Nightmare on Puberty Street.  Attached is an opt out permission slip and parent guide.  Please return opt out slips to the main office no later than April 12, 2017.  Assembly time:  11:24-12:24 AM

Pick Up and Drop Off


School traffic guidelines for picking up and dropping off students.

  • Always pull as far forward as possible for pick and drop off
  • Passing is not permitted in the pick-up/drop off lane
  • do not park in red zones
  • do not enter the bus circle during arrival and dismissal times
  • do not enter areas where signs are posted "Do Not Enter"
  • arrive a few minutes later (after 2:24) when there will be less traffic
  • consider a drop off/pick up location other than the front of school
  • have your child ready to quickly leave your vehicle
  • always look ahead, behind and check side mirrors before moving
  • do not block crosswalks
