West Indies Postcard Exchange
Ms. Moose's friend Aurora Fox, a member of the Peace Corps, has been teaching art at a primary school in Dominica, the West Indies. Aurora proposed a postcard exchange, and 6th graders jumped at the opportunity to create these lovely watercolor postcards to send to Aurora's students. Take a look at their cards, and the beautiful cards Aurora's students sent us.
Here you can read about what Aurora has been doing with her students: http://dominicaislanddispatches.blogspot.com/
Below is a greeting from our students to hers.

Seattle area sculptor and printmaker Kathy Ross held the Animation and Wheel Art classes in thrall with a talk about her work on September 3, 2014. She brought with her some of her tin sculptures, like the amazing bookmobile. See the slideshow below for the responses by the 6th graders after Kathy's visit.
