Come Learn the Basics of Coding

Want to make your own Snapchat filter?  Interested in creating a unique emoji, or making a computer game?  If you want to learn how to do all of these things, especially if you're a girl, come join us for 5 weekly sessions on March 26th, April 9th,16th, 23rd and 30th after school from 3:05 to 4:00 in the JM STEAM lab to learn the basics of coding with Computer Science students from Campo!  Contact Anne Midthun (anne.midthun18@auhsdschools.org), Betty Yee (betty.yee18@auhsdschools.org), or Ashley Zhang (ashley.zhang18@auhsdschools.org) for more information.

Peace, Love and Pancakes - Friday, April 13th, 2018

Come help support the JBFC Schools in Tanzania at the 5th annual Peace, Love, & Pancakes dinner and a movie featuring COCO.

Pancakes start at 5:30 p.m.
Movie will begin at 6:30 p.m.

REGISTRATION FOR NEW STUDENTS (Joaquin Moraga Intermediate School):

Parents wishing to register their student for school for the first time in the Moraga School District should begin with the Registration Process link below. Once completed, you will be contacted for an appointment with our Registrar.  Your child is required to come to this appointment with you.

IMPORTANT: If your student is transitioning from one of MSD elementary schools to Joaquin Moraga Intermediate School,  you do not need to re-register them.

All participants are invited to attend the Awards Ceremony and Reception during 7th period on April 19th

Wellness Committee presents

The Moraga School District Wellness Committee presents “Stress and How to Deal with it”, presented by JM counselor Gaby Alvarez and parent and pediatrician Paul Espinas.  The program will focus on stress and its effects on health, how to manage it and how to practice resilience.  The program will be interactive and is designed  for 5th-8th grade students and parents and support providers.  5th graders must be accompanied by a parent or support provided.  Sign up HERE for the program, which will be held in the JM library on March 15 from 6:30 to 8:00PM.  Light snacks will be served.

Pick Up and Drop Off


School traffic guidelines for picking up and dropping off students.

  • Always pull as far forward as possible for pick and drop off
  • Passing is not permitted in the pick-up/drop off lane
  • do not park in red zones
  • do not enter the bus circle during arrival and dismissal times
  • do not enter areas where signs are posted "Do Not Enter"
  • arrive a few minutes later (after 2:24) when there will be less traffic
  • consider a drop off/pick up location other than the front of school
  • have your child ready to quickly leave your vehicle
  • always look ahead, behind and check side mirrors before moving
  • do not block crosswalks
