Inter District Transfer/Open Enrollment
INTER DISTRICT TRANSFER REQUEST FROM THE MORAGA SCHOOL DISTRICT
A parent or legal guardian of a Moraga School District student may request a transfer for that student from this district into another by obtaining in Inter District Transfer Request form from the MSD district office. Upon approval, the parent/guardian is then responsible for delivering the request to the district into which he/she wishes to transfer.
INTER DISTRICT TRANSFER REQUEST TO THE MORAGA SCHOOL DISTRICT
A parent or legal guardian of a student residing outside the Moraga School District may request a transfer for that student to attend the Moraga School District. The parent or legal guardian must deliver to the MSD an approved Inter District Transfer Request from the district of residence by May 30. Requests that do not exceed established capacities and meet MSD Board Policy 5117.1 criterion may be honored by the opening day of school.
OPEN ENROLLMENT ACT TRANSFER REQUEST TO THE MORAGA SCHOOL DISTRICT
A parent or legal guardian of a student residing outside the Moraga School District may request a transfer for that student to the Moraga School District, and in accordance to MSD Board Policy 5118.1 (Open Enrollment Act). The parent or legal guardian must complete an Open Enrollment Act Transfer Request application by June 30. Within 60 days of receiving the application, the Superintendent or designee shall provide written notification to the parent or legal guardian and the student's district of residence as to whether the application has been accepted or rejected.
